Patricia was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales, growing up in Tenby, but later emigrated to the United States, where she lived for over forty years before returning to Wales in 2003.
An information scientist by profession, she was a research assistant at Stanford University, California, before working for an international aid organization, providing the necessary technical information for their field projects in developing countries around the world. She also owned her own database development company, and very briefly ran a small newspaper on the island of Jamestown, in Rhode Island, in between times writing satirical articles for newspapers. One of her most enjoyable occupations, though, was running a bed and breakfast in Narragansett --"The Old Clerk House B & B."
Widely travelled, and an avid sailor and photographer, her life experiences have supplied ample fodder for her novels, her most recent, "Voyage into Limbo" being selected by The Bookbag as one of their "Top ten self-published books of 2014", while her photographs were used as a backdrop for a presentation given at the New York Public Library in 2009.
